The rush to get CLE credit before year-end is on, and Kristi and I had the opportunity to travel down to Mobile last Friday, along with Robby Lusk from the Office of General Counsel, to present a three hour program on Trust Accounting, Casemaker Training, and 60 Practice Management and Technology Tips in 60 Minutes for the Mobile Bar Association. They are a great group of lawyers and we always enjoy the opportunity to visit with them. So I’d like to pass on to you one of the tips we shared with them.
Readability is a free little tool that makes it much easier to enjoy web sites that are poorly designed or just have too much busy content, such as animations that distract you from the written information you’re trying to digest.
All you have to do to get it is go to the Readability website, select the style you’d like (such as newspaper, novel or ebook), the size you’d like the type to be, and the type of margins you prefer (extra narrow to extra wide). Then, drag the Readability badge to the bookmarks toolbar on your browser if you use Firefox or save it as a bookmark in Internet Explorer. Then, when you come across a website that’s hard to read, just click Readability to isolate the information you’re interested in, in an easy to read format.
