Traditional Labor Associate

Position Summary

Our Birmingham office has an opportunity for an traditional labor associate to join the firm’s expanding practice and assume an important role in traditional labor matters, including advising employers on their rights and legal obligations involving union organizing activities, providing employee relations training and advice, and representing employers in unfair labor practice and union representation proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board. This position will involve direct contact with client representatives and opposing counsel. We can provide multiple writing, publishing and speaking opportunities.

We are not working with outside recruiters for this position.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Alabama. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
  • 1-4 years of traditional labor law and employment experience preferred, but comparable experience may be considered.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills are required.
  • Outstanding academic credentials preferred (Top 25% of class).
